They COULD, but they usually pursue the most serious charge. They may bundle the charges together to get bargaining chips, for example they'll 'dismiss' the lesser ones to get a plea on the heavier charges. |

Pull over when you first see the flashy lights in your rear view mirror... Running never gets you anywhere except in an accident or in jail... |

Depends on how long the chase was and how much writing they want to do. But yes, they can feasibly cite you for every violation observed during the pursuit. |

They certainly could but they usually just lump it into one felony charge of reckless endangerment. Way worse than a bunch of traffic tickets, they could even charge the person with attempted murder if the person is seen to use the car as a weapon. |

if i can articulate that you endangered other lives you will recive a ticket for your initial offense( why i tried to stop you in the first place) and the rest will fall under our felony fleeing law.
if you didnt endanger anyone else (stayed in the right lane, didnt run anyone off the road, didnt brake hard to try and force me to hit you, etc...) then you will recieve a citation for every violation |

Usually, high speed chases seem to wind up with somebody getting hurt or killed.
If the police want to, they can add up the charges, but this is not often done. They could also add charges for any damage to police cars or police officers caused directly by the person who runs away. |

Usually every charge they can that applies, you will receive. Some charges can't be seperate if they are included in others, like negligent driving may encompass no turn signals, or following to closely. |

They use the most serious offense. |

It is the most serious offense. Also in many states they have a law where if a police officer is to die during the chase the suspect is liable for his death. |

"WHEN you get caught"--I like that. Its WHEN and not IF-and I would be the one doing the chasing, not getting caught. Free advice-when you see the blues, pull over. Freedom is a GOOD thing! |

they can if they desire charge with every violation however most of the time they charge you with the 2 or 3 most serious violations. |

If I were in a high speed police chase, I'd be the one who was doing the chasing. |
