Now its, a little more then you'd imagine. I got dropped off at walmart with my friend, and i know that she shoplifted. Well being stupid i decided to go ahead and do it to. When we were walking out the security guard came out and said "can you two come with me" and we just went. When we got in the security office they asked us to take everything that we got from there store out, we didn't argue or anything because we didn't want to get in anymore trouble. They ended up scanning everything and it was $230 worth of stuff like makeup and purses and random stuff. I only had 2 things on me, everything else was in her purse but they counted it for both of us because i was giving her stuff so she could put it in her purse. Will they split the consequences? They called both our parents and told them, its been about 2 months and i haven't got any paper work, so me and my friend called walmart and they said it will be 4 to 5 months. And some of my friends parents said its a felony not just petty theft. How much community service do you think ill have? What will the fine be? How many months probation? Will i end up going to juvi? Im really scared. I know its wrong yeah, it was my first and last time. And before we left Walmart the security was really nice we were joking around and everything. I've never gotten into any kind of trouble like this. I do real good in school and everything, do you think that matters? Thanks.

They will first cut off your hands so you don't steal anymore. Then they will make you apologize to the people you stole from. Finally, they will incarcerate you for 5 years. Oh wait, I forgot you don't live in Iraq, you live in the U.S., they'll just tell you not to do it again and let you go home. |

Youll probably get a year or two of probation and fine. I doubt you will be seeing any juvenile time. They also could possibly drop the charges since you are 14. It all depends, hope all goes well |

There are too many factors, it all depends on your community/state and such.
I have found in life that it is actually easier to just do the right thing, I have seen so many of my friends get in trouble with the law, or do others wrong and it just does not work out for them.
A criminals life is much more difficult than someone who contributes to society instead of takes away.
It sound like you have learned your lesson, so be a good person, stay honest with people, surround yourself with honest good people and work hard in life and you will be much better off.

did the police come? Did you get arrested? Did you get charged with anything?
BTW: Given the amount of theft it probably is a felony. If they didn't press charges you are very lucky. |

I doubt they even pressed any charges against you. If they did they would have called the cops and they would have came and arrested you and given you a court date. Even if they are pressing charges against you, you would probably be just looking at some community service hours and maybe some probation. |

in many states a felony would be 500$ or more a misdameiner is anything under 500$ so ur not looking at a felony thats very good your first offense for any crime will 9 times out of ten not end with jail time or juvi but instead some probation a fine and maybe comunity service dont get me wrong you can still go to juvi but you didnt say if they called the law if they didnt dont sweat it you will be fine
