Im fresh out of highschool and want to go to police academy?

problem is I cant go til im 20, what should I do in the mean time? should I get a degree in criminal justice, if so what kind of degree, thanks

DM has it right, most modern departments want or require at least 60 semester hours (a community college degree is 60 or so semester hours). Liberal Arts is the best all around major. A cj degree is kind of useless for a person who wants to be a cop. You will get plenty of cj classes that count when you attend a academy. If you also get involved with community volunteerism you tend to impress some hiring boards.
In some states where you can go to a academy on your own before being hired the community colleges have 2 year programs that include a academy.
