Yes, you can wear personal undergarments under your issued jail clothes. They can restrict the type of bra, but can not prevent you from wearing one, unless it becomes a personal safety issue.

In most jails,if they keep you there long enough to "dress you out" , they will supply you with socks, shoes, a uniform, underwear, a sports bra and a blanket. If your just there for a few hours and they don't dress you out then you should be wearing whatever you were wearing when you got arrested.

I think the answer is yes, but I dont think the women are allowed to wear under wire bras. (they have to be the bras with only elastic).

In prison they issue you sports bras, and in my case forced you to wear them whether you wanted to or not. In the town cells when you are first arrested though they make you remove it as soon as there's a female guard or cop available.

Depends on the jail and what your classification is. If your a suicide threat, you cannot wear a bra. If your a threat to otheres, you cannot wear a bra. If you are housed in gen. pop. and have no issues, they will normally allow you to have a bra.

Yes, you can wear a bra in jail, but it cannot have an underwire in it. Underwire bras are confiscated because the wires can be removed and used as weapons. You can only wear a soft cup bra or something like a sports bra. It just cannot have wires in it anywhere.

there is no set answer across trhe nation.it all depends upon the agency.one thing they can not wear is a bra with underwire.the wire can be use for many things.

If you are a woman, then yes, you will be given a prison (or jail) issue bra, as well as other underwear, same as they do in military boot camp.

During holding, if you've just been arrested, and waiting for arraignment, I'm not so sure. Several items are withheld temporarily in those situations.
