In your opinion who should Police concentrate more on arresting drug pushers or users?

Arresting street level users is an effective way to gain intelligence on those who supply the drugs to them. A good narcotics investigator can use this information to continue to climb the supply chain.

police should try to protect society from violent offenders as opposed to busting people for minding their own business and having the munchies, which is harmless

I would prefer the police to concentrate on violent crime offenders, other than offenders (and buyers) who are making non violent decisions about their own personal bodies.

Legitimate narcotics? Hit the user to get info on the street dealer. Then "let nature take it's course"! The street dealer rolls on his dealer, and so on, until you get to a level of "management" in the "business" that fears their superior more than they fear going to jail (street level dealer is about as high as you can expect to go!).

There are no drug pushers. Drugs sell themselves. The drug war is a failure and always has been. It causes a massive increase in overall crime level just like alcohol prohibition. Cops don't want to here it, because we wouldn't need near as many of them without it. Many of them would be out of a job.

What I want to see is the big guys getting arrested. Why are these drugs in this country? If we can reach the moon, we cant get rid of this garbage coming into this country and destroying millions of lives. Not just the lives of the users, but of their families, their friends, and the people that they rob and steal from and kill. Street level pushers are a bunch of people who are trying to make a dishonest buck. THey are usually a stupid buttwipe who has a couple thousand bucks and thinks they are something hot, while they are nothing but stupid pawns in this game. They are killing each other for a few cents while some big fat politician or some big fat mafia guy is getting richer and richer with the REAL CASH! When is this crap going to stop? I wish people would get real and decide to stop the craziness. Drugs aint ****, and I would love to see the big guys come down. There's too much money in it. No one wants to get the big guys. Sorry for ranting, but drugs make me angry.

I'm not sure, but I would think that it's easier to catch users and then question them.

Drug pushers, as they are the ones selling them to the young'uns who eventually become users. It's kind of like a cycle, where the original pushers push it to potential users who become the new pushers, who sell it to more potential users and so on.
Also, I think that law enforcement shouldn't have to deal wth users who keep it for personal use. Some users are completely burned out from drugs so they are less likely to cause trouble than people who push it.
