In many places, yes. If you are in the United States, then probably. Most states have statuatory rape laws for people dating under 18.

I know there's a 4 year rule in some states (including PA) because it shouldn't be illegal for an 18 year old to date a 17 year old just because the 17 year old is a minor. That's stupid.
I can only speak for my state but there are rules that protect you from laws like that. |

Depends on the state...my advice, if your over 18, only date people who are also over 18, that way your never wrong. Just remember, your the adult and your the one who gets in trouble. |

I don't think it's illegal. In Georgia I dated a 17 year old and I was 35 years old. We dated for two years until she had an affair on me with her boss. who was two years younger than I was. |

to date someone between 16 and 18 you have to be between 16 and 18. you cant be 19 and date a 17 year old. and you cant be 15 and date a 17 year old.
technically.
but people do it anyways.
as long as you dont get in trouble with the law for anything untill you are both over 18 you shoudl be fine. |
