Ok im growing tomatos plants (i don't want any bugs to ever touch them lol) inside, in a modified shelf, with 205 watt of flourescent light, and a 200 watt light bulb the heat the thing, and i was wondering if i can get in trouble for doing this in the US?

Trust me there is no weed here.

It's not illegal to grow plants indoors, ever see the infomercials for those junk kitcehn counter top hydro systems? It's not illegal to grow tomatoes indoors, it is illegal to grow pot indoors which it sounds like is waht you are doing. DON"T DO IT!!!! As for the lighting your talking about that's not very much lighting, you can't grow anything with that little light. Also, a normal desktop computer takes about the same power as a 1000 watt light so that little bit of light your using woudln't cause any suspicion. Also, cops aren't allowed to use heat sensors randomly drivng around enighborhoods, they have to have probably cause. |

It's legal. Only certain plants are not allowed to be grown indoors. Here is a comprehensive list:

Why would you think that? they only plants that you can't grow, in doors or out, are illegal ones to begin with like mar******na
you might want to put them on the floor instead of the shelf since tomato plants can get rather tall. |

Of course you can grow tomatoes indoors. But not everything. And yes, police can and do use thermal imaging to see whether or not you are farming large amounts or hemp.
