No, they are a public servant. They serve the citizens. You have every right to ask for their ID, but be sure their pride and insecurities will manifest hell for you in the future. |

yup you can ID then even if you get pulled over for something you can ID them. Some people try to pose as a cop and so you have every right to ID an officer. |

On duty? No. That could constitute impeding. Besides, as some other poster already pointed out, you must by definition be 21 already just to be a Police Officer.
Off duty? Yes, you can ask them for ID just like you would for any other patron. |

A uniformed cop doesn't have to "try" to enter a bar. They have the right to. As far as trying ID the uniformed cop. You'll probably be having a bad day after that. |

An alleged cop in a cop uniform? I don't see any reason why not. In most places you could deny the cop entry entirely unless he had a warrant. |

If they are there for personal reasons you can, however you will look like an *** because you have to be over 21 to be an officer. If they are there on a call and you ask for ID they are going to tell you what to do and where to go - then push past you - and proceed as they see fit. |
