If it was a situation that required deadly force, Yes. It is defined as "Untrained but Justifiable". |

Only if you're a minority.
I'M KIDDING!!!
Seriously, the police are not allowed to beat on you as long as you are cooperative. If, however, you fight with them, then they are allowed to use "necessary force" to restrain you ... and that could include a bop on the head with a flashlight. |

We're not supposed to, but accidents happen. I wouldn't beat someone with my flashlight because the bulb might break. |

It is not the preferred method of subduing a suspect, but it is OK if it is to defend the officer, defend another officer, defend an innocent third party, or to make an arrest (but only if the injuries likely to be inflicted are necessary and proportionate to the degree of threat or resistance). |

If I cant reach my baton or taser, then yes. I will hit you with anything I can until you stop resisting. |

Depends. The police are issued many non-lethal and less-lethal weapons to subdue a subject. If a subject is displaying active-resistant noncompliance during an arrest, the police may use things like tasers, OC spray, CSB (Collapsable Steel Baton), or a flashlight (preferably a 6 D-cell Maglite) to obtain compliance of the individual.
If a subject was hit in the head, I'm sure the officer was aiming for the shoulder and the subject moved right before impact. Hope this answers your question. Have a nice day and don't mess with cops. |

Depending on department policy, yes if deadly force is warranted. |

It happens less than most people believe. If you hadn't done something for arrest, then why did you have to come in contact with the police? Of course it is not behavior we at citizens want to see. But, most cops have families to get home to and plan to at the end of the day. And if that means an unruly person, not co-operating, has to be forced then using due force is deemed alright. Bet next time you are told to do something, you'll do it a little quicker. |

Yes, if your behaviour was threatening the Officer or someone else and you resisted the officer. |

Heck NO! Was the person resisting arrest? Because they are liable to do anything...if a person is resisting......but still doesn't make it right.... |
