That would be unethical. An advocate from a domestic violence shelter will do the most good. They understand the dynamics of domestic abuse.
Officers only take a "dominant" role, as you say it, when someone is not complying with the law. |

thats a form of extorsion and ima sure a cop would nto agree to do that |

No, you can't hire a cop to do that. Sorry. |

Ummm - gonna say no on this one !!
No police officer worth his weight is going to risk his career for such nonsense. No one can make a person get help.
She will get help when she's ready and not a second sooner. |

In a lot of places it is against the law for a cop to take another paying job without first clearing it with his superiours. I really doubt they would approve this. |

you absolutely cannot |

A cop who knows her peronally might do it just to be a friend, but cops are not aloud to do what your asking, they are not aloud to bully people around and a cop is never really "off-duty". what a cop does off duty will still affect his or her career. It sounds like someone needs to bully her abusive husband around so he realizes that he is not such a tough guy |

Ethics aside -- probably leaning toward harassment
not going to work out well for either of you |

Unless the cop is corrupt, no. |

haha get her on the maury polvich show on one of those bootcamp episodes.
Seriously though it is your friend why can't you set her straight why is physical intimidation necessary? |

The police officer would be dumb to accept money in order to bully someone. They could lose their job if she made a complaint. Its not illegal but Im sure it violates their ethical duties that come along w/ their uniform.
You said Houston. I went to high school in Humble. A teacher asked a police officer that worked at HHS to follow a school bus home to make sure her child didnt get beat up when he got off the bus. Because he got out of his car and walked over to intimidate the bully and said he would be in trouble if he beat up tha teacher's son he got removed from the school and in trouble. The teacher got fiered. This happed after the bully's parents got mad and called in a complaint claiming harassment. This happened in 1997. |

a cop is not really the answer unless he or she is on duty. if it is an abusive situation call the cops and tell them because she will not personally call the cops. a cop can not be hired as a friend (esp. in a legal since). |

No,
harassment is illegal even if it's coming from a cop. |

Absolutely Not! |

Unless she is committing illegal acts or is deemed mentally unstable and needs to be committed, there is not much that can be legally done. A police officer cannot order her to leave someone or stop being depressed. A police officer might be able to give advice on the situation once he/she knows what is going on. Maybe the person needs help from the authorities. However, that is kind of hard to call until she crosses the line and attempts to hurt herself or others. |

if something illegal is happening to her you could call the cops for her. |

What you're asking to do is a federal offence. It's called "conspiracy".
So, no, there's no (legal) way to do what you want to do. |

No, it's not the cop would lose his job if he got caught. If someone is bullying you, you should tell some one in school(if your in school). You could just igore that person, or tell him/her to leave you alone. |

tis the same with all situations, until the certain individual see the light on there own, there is no helping them, I hope they get there before it's too late.. |

Why not ask an officer? a "what do you think, sir" will probably give you at the very least, a resource for help. |

ask your local police station for some cops to keep an eye on the boy. if harassment continues the cops will take charge |

Why say off-duty cop. A off-duty cop is a normal person and has to follow the law. Legally to bully means to persuade someone into doing the right thing so just get the off-duty cop to talk with the person. |
|

Logan Duckett

yes, there is a program to set someone straight jsut in teh way your talking about. |
