Is it really easy to kill people by guns?

It is hard to kill people because of gore and violence, but guns are in the movies, video games. Usually in the movies there are not much of blood, gore, like horror movies for the entertaiment. for guns, Guns have image of fun, and entertaiment. Just press the button can kill people. Are guns so easiy to kill people than what people thinks?

Many people thought I am psychopath, well you guys thought what I wrote was my opinion, what I ment was for little kids, I am talking about. Have you looked at gun games and gun movies
some of them dont have any blood and gore. What I ment to say is some kids who play shooting games and who watch gun movies would think guns are cool, so in reality they could shoot people easily, without not knowing how horrable thing to press the triger.another thing what I ment is anyone can pull the triger even little kids, it is so easy, so when the man want to suicide by guns, it is so easy to kill him self than stubbing him self. Later he can not say I did not want to do it, it is so easy to decide.

Guns aren't weapons ; the people that use them are weapons because guns are harmless unless you don't know how to handle them people under estimate guns because they are on video games and in movies but just one pull of the trigger and a life can be lost.

Its not the physical part of doing it thats hard, its the mental part. Nobody wants to have to live with killing someone for the rest of their life.

*Addition - For kids who don't know the actual power of a gun, of course it is easy. Its just like playing with one of their other toys. Children don't understand the concept of life and death like adults do, therefore they don't really know what they're doing.

A gun is just a tool, it can be used for good or evil. It is the person that decides what to do with it. For a normal person killing is never easy no matter what tool is available.

for some people yes it is very easy for them to pull the trigger and kill someone. In the military you have to be ready to do that. In private life I wish more people would find shooting another human a lot harder.*

Probably easy to press the trigger, but what then? The world doesn't end and there are many consequences moral and otherwise. Mind you, this is different from the way a predator hunts for its prey, which is essentially for food and survival.

yes it's easy to point a gun at someone and pull the trigger. it's the consequences that are hard to deal with, that most stupid people who go around shooting others don't think about beforehand.

i blame violence in the media, a lack of decent parenting, and a lack of handgun control in the US for all the gun-violence and gun-death.

That's the first thing I teach all my introductory students.

Psychologically, it's very difficult for a normal human being to kill another human being. One of the main purposes of military basic training is to break down that inhibition and even that doesn't work as well as the military would like. Fantasies aside, only a lunatic hopes for or looks for a chance to kill another person.

Physically, it's not so easy either. Only about 3% of single handgun wounds are fatal -- 15% of head wounds. Even with multiple handgun wounds, if the victim gets to a trauma center/emergency room in time, chances of survival aren't bad. People have even survived being shot through the heart.

Shotguns and rifles are much more deadly, but take more skill to use effectively than most people realize. Anyone who tells you "you don't have to aim a shotgun" has probably never fired one.

from a physical stand point yes. From a psychological stand point no. i get a little nervous shooting at targets just because i am aware of the damage i could do. hard to imagine actually killing someone. Police often have a hard time going back to work after they have killed someone. it sticks with you. do believe everything you see on TV (or almost anything for that matter except like history or discovery channel and even then take it with a grain of salt) Guns can be fun to shoot...just NOT AT PEOPLE. If you think shooting someone might be fun then you need to get some counseling. Be safe.

For starters, movies and video games are nothing like reality. Secondly, it's called a trigger, one fires a gun by squeezing the trigger.

As for actually killing someone, although I have never used my weapon in the line of duty there is nothing easy about killing a person, even when it's justified that person is still a human being with a family who cares about them.

Once you fire theat round there are no do-overs, second chances, and you have to live with the decision for the rest of your life.

People who kill because it is unavoidable, in self defense for example, or in the service of our nation, usually do not do so willingly nor do they enjoy it.

When you go bang with your gun, it really is the end of someone`s life.

Depends on the gun.

Alot of times, humans adrenaline is up so high that I gun wound would not stop them. If it is a lesser gun of course (.22 for example).

If, for example, you were using a 9mm, shotgun, .216 round, etc, then that person would go down pretty fast.

I mean regardless, your putting a quarter sized hole through their body. Its gonna hurt like hell.
