Rumor has it that our local police forces will turn federal.Basically answering to the United States government and not State government.

That's a little late in coming. Congress already passed the Military Commissions Act (which eliminated posse comitatus) and USA PATRIOT Act (which unlawfully eliminated the 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th amendments). Bush suspended habeas corpus. Technically we are already in a police state. Obama has yet to say that he will help reverse these acts. |

Actually in the Constitution, there is no provision for a Federal Law enforcement agent except a US Marshal to enforce treason and counterfeiting laws, much less a Fed. Police force. |
