Is it worth appealing against my parking ticket?

i went to the museam yesterday an parked out side. it was pay an display so i got my ticket frm the machine an placed nicely on dash board for traffic warden to see. the ticket didnt have a sticky part on it an as i have the the door the ticket must have bown over on to the back so the traffic warden couldnt see the time or date.
Additional Details
no the ticket was facing upwards then when i shut the door it has turned over, i have the ticket still an it is valid with time an date on it. the fine is 25 pound rising to 50 pound.

Yes. You have evidence that you had purchased the ticket at the time the violation was issued.

I would definitely appeal - if you still have the ticket that is. If you can show that the time on the ticket is later than the time on the fine ticket then they should drop it

show u had a ticket that u purchased b4 u got ur ticket and show what time it was issed and that u really had 1. unless its like 15$ ticket iunno or even 30$

This has happened to me!
I went to the hairdressers, bought my ticket and as I closed the car door it must have blown onto the floor! I appealed against my ticket, sending it(after I had made a copy) and a receipt from the hairdressers that had a time on that was also before my ticket had run out. They sent me a letter saying I didn't have to pay this time but it was my responsibility to make sure it was clearly visible for next time. My Nan has also done this a couple of times, without a receipt and has got let off so I think its defo worth trying to appeal it!!

yes it is worth appealing. If you still have the ticket from the meter showing that you were legally parked at the time of the ticket, it's definately worth a try.

OH YES!!! You should dress nice, be polite but take notes before hand and prove your case. You have a great chance of reducing or deleting the whole mess. It was NOT even your fault really... I am SURE they will see this.

Totally not your fault, but is it really worth your time and effort?

If your appeal fails you may have to pay a lot more.

The ticket must be in plain site for the traffic officer to see or there will be a cite. I am guessing that you are saying that the ticket somehow blew off the dash and into the back seat...do these tix have dates and times on them or anything that can be verified as to date and time purchased ? If not, you have no proof, therefore no case :{

from personal experience they always find a way to get you on the ticket anyways. Its probably not very much i would just pay it
