The reason Im asking is because I just transferred to a Christian school and I dont want to say anything to upset anyone and get opn anyones bad side and have people say that I not a true daughter of Christ. Sorry for talking so much

Don't believe something just because your minister or priest told you to believe it. Investigate the matter and draw your own conclusions. If other people are offended by your views, that's their problem. Don't let other people make you feel like you're a bad Christian just because you disagree with them. You CAN be a good Christian AND have a mind of your own!:) |

No. Its not wrong.
Yet there are times and places to speak of such things.
The Bible's Old Testament has strong thoughts about death penality.
But remember Jesus taught a different a different message in the New Testament.
"love thy neighbor" Books of matthew and LUke.
Also "let him who is without sin" cast the first stone.
Death is not reversable. |

Christian or non christian.......I don't think death Penalty is fair...We don't have right to take another persons life.But in certain cases we cannot justify otherwise....Forget about the death Penalty whats happening around the world even without a legal death penalty. Here innocent people are dying.....so its not a question of a death penalty alone....people should restrain from killing.After all death penalty is just a punishment for a few...who we think are guilty...its a matter for us to think deeply for the innocent lives that are lost in the name of war |

Wait a second. First off, why don't Christians have brains of their own? Secondly, why do Christians use the Bible and manipulate its text to say what they want it to say? You've got one guy saying that Jesus doesn't want you to hate anyone, even love your enemy. So the death penalty is wrong. Make sense to me. Then you've got this other guy saying that the Death Penalty is not only correct but Biblical. How about this: Do you yourself think it is wrong to allow man (which the Bible says is not capable of directing his own steps) to decide who lives or who dies? |
