I thought that by posting it in more than one relevant category - more people would get the chance to read it and answer

I don't see it as wrong if you want two different view points on the question. If you are expecting the same answer from both groups or think you might get it, it might just save you time to post the question where you feel it would be more relevant. |

I think the Yahoo people get really vexed when you post it in the wrong category. Obviously if you are using several categories most of them will be wrong.
Why not just tweak your question up until it is irresistible and then put it just in the right category? |

It's worse to post questions off topic - in the wrong forum. You've posted this in Home > Politics & Government > Law Enforcement & Police! It would be better asked in Home > Yahoo Products > Yahoo Answers. |

I would have thought that it depends upon the question and how many lots of 5 points you are willing to spend.
Many of us do not just go to one category and it is rather annoying to encounter the same question repeatedly. |

Not all answers are directly proportionate to every question. But first, the Anatomy of a question must be examined. What is a "question?" This is weird because one is forced to use the very entity being examined to examine the question of what a question is. This is an indication that there is something lacking in man's logic or his communication systems or both or something else.
The answer is within the answer...never the question. For if we answer before we are even asked, the answer is already there; isn't it? The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind, the answer is blowin' in the wind.
