Is my eye sight really bad?

I want to become a police officer but my vision is not good. My left eye is -3.75 and my right eye is -1.80. I wear glasses. I am wondering if I am still qualified to become an officer

As long as your eyesight is correctable to 20/20, you can probably qualify to join most Local or County Police Departments. Not sure about each State or Federal service.

It doesn't matter what your Diopiter or Spherical readings are as long as they can be refracted to at least 20/35...(the standard in most departments)...
