If the economy is bad we need to get the money moving again and maybe actually buy more if you can so you would buy the item. shoplifting is WRONG no matter what. you only hurt others and companies more by doing it. if companies lose money then they may have to lay off people, i don't care if its only one person its wrong and bad!!

It's especially bad when the economy is bad. You can put a store out of business by stealing. Aside from that, it's just always wrong. It only hurts all. Stores have to raise prices to cover the loss, and if you get caught, you will be in a bad way too.

i don't think stealing from individuals is ever good. if a person is made to pay for what you take,that's not good. if a company or insurance pays,well that's the cost of doing business in these hard times!
