Generally, no, you are not given study materials. However you can purchase good study guides from places like Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
The test is not 'hard', but it WILL weed out the stupid people, as well as the people who have difficulty prioritizing. |

I am from the UK, and will be applying to be a Special Constable, and I am studying this book focusing on the PIR (Police Initial Recruitment) tests!
They hadn't provided me with revision material, so I've purchased a guidance book from Amazon, which has practice tests!

There are useful websites too, some which allow you to communicate with members of the police force, to give you an idea of what to expect from the tests and advice on how to be prepared!
It really depends on which force you are joining and what position you wish to take.
Is there a forum or website based on the police force you wish to apply to?
