Interestingly enough, Modern Warfare 2 lost the Call of Duty series title. So, it wouldn't actually be Call of Duty 6.
It is due for release November 10th, 2009. |

actually they are dropping the name call of duty and simply calling it "modern warfare 2" which i think signals the end of the series unless theres a modern warfare 3 |

Well, this is a complicated. So the Modern Warfare 2 trailers you have been seeing recently is supposed to be Call of Duty 6, but since Infinity Ward has decided to turn Modern Warfare 2 into the Modern Warfare series, it is not part of the Call of Duty 6 series. So technically you are getting "Call of Duty 6" but it's not a Call of Duty series game, its a Modern Warfare series game.
