Shame on you. The people who are demonstrating are largely peaceful and law abiding - with some agents provocateur in their midst and some loonies who think violence pays and are being manipulated into violence by police holding demonstrators far longer than necessary in order to keep the peace.

Capitalism has lost its moral compass. Pension funds have been systematically and fraudulently ripped off. The people - through their taxes - have been baling out banks and financial institutions which refuse to admit the malpractices which have become endemic in their industry. ~To take a quote from Ted Heath about Tiny Lonrho - the current financiers represent the 'unacceptable face of capitalism.' Sarkozy and Merkel have the right idea - and frankly the rest of the G20 appear to be ostriches burying their heads in the sand of wilful blindness to the problems which have beset the financial industry for well over a decade.

I have no doubt the time will come when people like you will deny trashing these demonstrators and all of you will say that you knew the scandals were out of control and that everyone accepted it was time to change the rules in order to ensure that a plethora of Madoff's did not succeed in bringing the world to its financial knees.

Until then continue to poke fun - I am always amazed at how history rewrites itself with the benefit of hindsight.

To add to your other answers why would the demonstrators cover their faces,oh yes I forgot they accept public funds for not working and don't want to be identified by the DWP.

I find it hilarious to be honest. Mob mentality is stupidity at it's best and there is nothing wrong, in my opinion, with police in any nation busting someone down with a baton if they are being physically assaulted first.
