You can check your credit online for free. I dont see why you couldent do a free background check and check your own police record...

No. Background checks cost $$$. The only reason credit checks are free is that Congress passed a law to make them available. That doesn't exist for background checks. You have to pay up.

He's right. Background check will cost money. The cheapest service I found so far is one called Net Detective. Added the link for you. You get pretty much all the records available in the gov.
