My daughter went out with this guy. He took her "parking" out in the woods about 25 miles from home and told her.....put out or walk home...she did. Then she called the law. They told her there was nothing they could do. What do you think? Is it rape?

It is rape. She did consent but out of coersion. It's rape. The "law" doesn't know the laws that well it seems, have her call the state "law". In any instance where fear is used, and if she said no at ANYTIME, even after or before she said yes...its rape plain and simple...look up the laws and definitions |

first off...if she is underage and the male isn't that it is statutory rape. You need to check your local laws to find out the specifics.
second...you can still bring up a civil suit, while you can't get the guy in jail, you'll get some monetary damages. It sounds like it was a form of coercion (seriously people walking 25 miles in the woods is not reasonable for someone to do) and while it may fall short of the criminal guilt requirements it def meets civil guilt requirements |

It depends how he said it - if he was holding her at the time, or threatened to rape her then yes. But to be honest, I would just phone someone else to come and pick me up and wait outside.
I am sorry about your daughter though, no father wants to hear that. |

This is restraining someone against their will. This guy has taken advantage of your daughter, and if i were you, i would contact juvenile court immediately and tell them what happened. As a parent, you should not stand for this, and your child should not be allowed to be anywhere near this guy again. This guy obviously doesn't respect women. Worse things could have happened to her had she walked home! If i were you, i would take this to juvenile court. They have places perfectly suited for people like your daughter's "boyfriend". Call juvenile court now. You have up to 1 year to report an offense. |
