Well, let's see. Years ago when I first started out my career in law enforcement I was a Military Policeman assigned to a traffic section. We used to get complaints about an MP named Private Biff. There about half a dozen in all. Private Biff used to run RADAR at the same place everyday. Most of the complaints were that PVT Biff was sleeping while on duty or would yell at passing speeders. Finally a Sergeant Major came into the MP Station and complained that PVT Biff had given him the middle finger. We could no longer overlook this horrible behavior. We brought the Sergeant Major out to the spot where he identified the car and the MP. We then approached the MP who was in the same spot. We then introduced the Sergeant Major to PVT Biff our traffic mannaquinn. We would set him up in a car with the RADAR unit running to slow traffic.

My first complaint was that I used the "N" word at someone during a traffic stop. The individual came in with an attorney from the NAACP and made their complaint. My supervisor pulled the tape from my car's video system and we reviewed the stop. Not only did they determine that I did not use the "N" word, I didn't use any word that could have been confused with that word. Also during the review of the tape they found that the individual was loud, abusive and belligerent. The NAACP attorney made a comment that they were really surprised that I didn't arrest the individual for disorderly conduct. My supervisor took care of that problem and charged the individual with false statements, since he had the individual complete a sworn written statement prior to the tape review, and disorderly conduct after reviewing the tape.

So, yea, I back up other cops until there is evidence that says otherwise.

Let's see. Who would I find more trustworthy, a cop who risks his life for low pay to serve the community, or a criminal who spends his time trying to get other people (the government or his victims) to give him a free ride?

Maybe becuase they understand the nature of the job a whole heck of a lot better than you and realize that 99.9% of police shootings are legit. Contray to the belief of the ignorant and uneducated and those with an agenda, cops do not look for nor do they enjoy killing anyone. It is a part of the job and a heavy burden. It is also not 100% fool proof, which is why other cops understand the nature behind a split second decison.
Unless you have ever done the job or are trained to their level you are really unqualified to make any comment.

Ever thought that the small detail is for the prescution/defence and that making it public will jeopordise the case, the result would always go the way of the defendant, because you would not be able to hold a fair trail/hearing.

Nearly an interesting rant, but as you give no facts whatsoever you aren't going to get a worthwhile answer. As it happens, one of our CID officers has just been arrested by his own force for several offences, including assault . . .

It's a tribal thing really. No cooper is ever going to shop one of his mates, unless of course he wants the rest of his life to be made hell. I mean, even if that mate of his is dismissed the force, his other mate's mates are going to remember him and do the dirty whenever the opportunity arises.
