MY brother is leaving prison for funeral?

My mom passed away and we are having a memorial service to honor her life. My brother who is in jail for robbery at a minimum security prison will also be there, I just want to know If he will be in full restraints and an orange suit or will he have the opportunity to dress up a little so it's not so awkward

The answer definitely will vary by department. Call the non emergency number of the facility holding him for the correct answer.

The jail I work at it is: Escorted by a uniformed officer, and they are allowed to dress in street clothes dropped off for them by family member. Restraints are typically worn. The first concern is not for embarassment, it is for the safety and security of the in-custody inmate.

Well, I hope he can dress up and show some respect, I know he has made some mistakes in life, but i also hope he wishes he hadnâ€™t committed that crime.

most likely he wont be in cuffs but will be escorted by an officer

I believe if he want to wear street clothes you have to send them to the prison ahead of time, or should purchase new from the commissary. He will come in full restraints if in michigan. I don't know about other states.

Im pretty sure he's allowed to be in the classic black suit and stuff. There might have to be one guard there though, but the guard would also dress in respect to the occasion.

Well if it's just for robbery I think they'll let him dress up cause that's a small thing. But if he's in huge trouble for like killing him. **** him he should be in orange and in chains and be embarresed for what he's done.
