Well she was probably arrested leaving the shop with the clothes on her so she won't get to keep them. Depends on Debenhams policy, it's up to them if they want to press charges - they might if her first offence was from Debenhams too. I'd be astonished if they sent her to prison though, probably a fine / community service / ban from Debenhams. Nice of you to be concerned. |

"does she get to keep the clothes?"
No, she'll be getting new ones in the klink. |

Why on earth do you think that she would get to keep the clothes? Spongers like your sister really are the scum of the earth. What gives people like her the right to steal? Everyone else has to work hard to be able to afford to buy stuff.
I hope they charge her and lock her away. My judicial contacts tell me that 12 months is the average prison term for shoplifters in the UK. And well-deserved! |

Hi again Crispy, sorry to hear that more of your family are failures, its her second offence so no doubt the Judges will set an example of her, the prisons are full, probably community service then, I hope your fish diet is still going well, would be no good you shoplifting from Debenhams as they do nothing in your size unless the diet makes progress fast. all the best .... <GB> |

I work in security at my store and i can tell you what we'd do. The police would be called and as it's her second offence she would be arrested. She would then probably appear in court. She would be banned from our store and should she come in and be caught stealing again, she would be arrested for burglary which is a much more serious offence. Would she get to keep the clothes?? What planet are you on?? When people steal from my company they are also stealing from me. I work hard all year and if we do well, we get a little bonus after Christmas. We don't get it if people steal our profits. And what gives her the right to come and take what i and other people have to pay for? |

no she won't get to keep them
as for what will happen to her that depends on the officers dealing with her |

Citizen DeCat

She could at least have got caught at M&S. |

i think she will probably have to go to court, being as it is her second offence! if she pleads guilty and has a fairly good excuse she may get fined and magistrates ! and no way will she get to keep the clothes! |

Debenhams and other large shops like them know their annual losses due to stealing. Its probably something like 10% but maybe more in a crap area like the North east. The rest of us honest shoppers have to foot the bill so people like your sister can look smart without working. I just hope Debenhams don't put the clothes back on the shelf after your degenerate sister has handled them. |

First of all, no, she won't get to keep the clothes.
As for what happens to her, it really depends wether the shop want to prosecute or not! She may get a short scentence, a fine, or community service. |

no she wont keep the clothes, First offence
punishment should be a stamp pressed on her forehead that takes at least a year to ware off
Second offence,
as above with a two year stamp and brake 4 fingers,
Third offence
you've guessed it three years, and cut of her left hand,
get the idea, |

yeah get her to wear them in court secondly she may get given a job in b&q |

No she will not be able to keep the clothes, and will be proberly barred from the shop.
She will more then likely get a fine.
Tell her to be careful in future L. O. L |

She will not get to keep them. And a second offence will probably mean a court appearance.
Get her some help. |

What a strange question...
She MAY get to keep the clothes - if the staff at the store or the police did not recover the stolen property (i.e. she may have been arrested a short time after the offence and after departing with the goods) then the police will not waste time trying to recover the property. That said, that is so unlikely that I assume the police DID recover the goods (i.e. they were on her person as she walked out of the shop). In that case, NO the clothes are evidence and will be kept by the police or the shop to produce at court.
What happens to her depends on what happened to her the first time and how long ago. If she was released without charge, given a PND (ticket) or a juvenile reprimand, then she may be eligible for a caution this time (she may still be eligible if she received a caution 1st time round if it was over 2 years ago). If she ends up getting charged, she will get a small fine (i.e. £60) and a criminal record, of course.
I would recommend she very quickly learns the error of her ways, or has her hands chopped off. One or t'other. |

Yeah, she gets to keep them, ask her is she selling them half-bat!! |
|

you know you love me
|
if the shop decided to press charges (which they probs will do) she will be banned from the shop probs forever, at the least she will be given a fine, but since this is her second offence she will already have a criminal record, she could be facing a year or so in prison (maybe a little less since the prisons are full). |

This is a joke question isn't it? |

Criminal record, I'm afraid. A second offence could mean a term of imprisonment. Or if she's lucky a suspended sentence. She might just get community service or a fine. Sadly she doesn't get to keep the clothes, they'll go back to the store. Sorry to hear that crispy. |

What did she take them for to help to feed you a diet would not go amiss by the way send her to the salt mines in Russia she will not pinch again. |

She'll probably get a slap on the wrist. She should be hung, drawn and quartered.
Nice family you got there. |
