Minor arrested for theft in Pennsylvania?

Well first of all I really would appreciate if you don't say that I'm dumb or something because trust me I have told this to myself a thousand times by now. I made a HUGE mistake. I can't get over the fact that I was arrested. I am 16 and I stole some clothing with two of my friends. Obviously we were caught but they stopped us when we were outside. The police was called, we were arrested, had our picture taken, and fingerprinted. Our parents took us home. The people from the store told us we would have to pay for the clothes, but the police didn't tell us what is going to happen exactly. Is it a sure thing that we will go to court? And is there any way that this won't stay on my record forever?
Please just answer my questions if you can...I don't know what to do anymore. It's not only that I have disappointed my parents but I really disappointed myself. I can't forgive my self for this, but I am trying to find out if there is anything I can do to help me achieve the future I was originally planning. :(

Well since you got arrested, what you stole was worth more than 50 dollars. U will have to go to court. The judge will make the determination whether you should be placed in probation. Yes, that means you will be checked on. As far as your record, this will always follow you. |

If you were charged with a crime as a juvenile, it will not be a part of your adult record. You do not have to give up on the future you planned. Just make better choices and keep your record clean from 17 years old and up. Also, you should be aware that you can be charged as an adult for certain crimes before the age of 17 years old. |
