Yes at 18 you are emancipated and can do what you want and not need your parents consent on anything, especially if you are financially secure! You can get all the documents you need, Birth Cert, etc, public records and call the SS office for your card or apply if you don't have one! Good for you!

at 18 your an adult and can move out if you like, but your parrents can throw you out too

You should keep in your possession: copy of birth certificate, medical records, driver's license, passport, soc. security card...since you are only 18, you aren't legally emancipated from your family until 21...so if you were to get into an accident, they would be responsible for directing your medical care...however, they are not responsible for any costs incurred from housing rent/leasing...those are all directed by the contract owner, which would be you...good luck!

Yes at 18 you are considered a legal adult and can sign any lease agreements for a new place. You don't really need any of the things you listed. If you are joining the military though why move out, you will be in boot camp for a while so why pay rent someplace you won't be living.

if you are 18 you can move out when ever you like. It's not like there is an application to fill out with the local police or anything. You are an adult. You should keep any tax information, social security card, drives license, as far as your shot card thats on you I haven't been asked for mine in a really long time. good luck

18 makes you legal. You can vote and go the war so if you are responsible enough, you can live on your own. You don't require any one's permission, not even your parents.

when you turn 18 you can move out if you want you dont need any permission you dont need to show anything to be able to move out once your 18

of course you are, just make sure you have your birth certificate, social security card, if you don't have these you can call and have them mailed to you, my husband joined the military and married me at 19, he's only 23 now, is in the Air Force and bought a 2002 corvette last week! i'm 24 and a secretary, you can do anything if you set your mind to it, good luck!

You don't need anything to move out when you are 18. I moved out at 16 and didn't need anything. Although it would nice to get all of those things from your parents so you have them when you need them.

Since the Yahoo account can be in several countries, I dare wonder where you might be. First, if in the USA, then 18 is the age of adulthood and you do not need permission to move out. Now, if they do not want you to move out, you will want to discuss that. Once, when I was moving out due to a scholarship, my step-father did not like the idea and stated that I would be banned from returning if I went there. In any case, if you are capable of taking care of yourself, the records you mentioned are important. Also, whose insurance are you under for your car. If under the family coverage, then you will need to get your own if they drop you.

When you are 18 you are recognized in all states as an adult. Take everything you want the rest of your adult and not depend on your parents to be your "free storage." That would be birth certificate, original social security card, personal banking records since you say you are financially stable, education records, pictures your family does not want but you do, medical records including shots, clothes, CD's, you name it.

I think the biggest problem is when "kids" leave their family home, they think the parents should maintain their bedroom just is case they have to come home.

Congratulations on starting your adult life. Just remember the day you move out you tell your parent(s) thank you for all the years of hard work and love.

You should have in your possession and take with you all the legal documents that were required to join the military. In addition you should have your drivers license/ID, car note, insurance paper work, tax returns,etc.,.

As for your parents permission, you are 18 and don't need it!

If you've joined the military, you wouldn't be at home. Other than that you have to live at home until you're 30 in most instances, 35 if you haven't had a job with an extension of 5 years on a case by case basis.
