Having dealth withthis for too long, you will find a person who used meth will tell you anything and everything you want to hear if it gets them out of jail.
What would happen for example had someone broke into your hosue twice, how would you feel, what would you think should happen to them
I am sorry but when people break into others homes and use drugs, they need to go to jail.
I am sorry but you also have to remember the victims in all of this |

Have an intervention and get him to check into rehab. If he does good at that then the judge may be lenient. If not, then jails probably the safest place for him. |

get him some help. Try to support him..but don't assist him.
Be firm, be loving, be strong. |

Don't take this the wrong way...........but you need to let his *** sit in jail. If he's stealing to support his drug addiction that's where he needs to be. IF he really wants to get off the drugs you might be able to get him into rehab and get probation. But if he doesn't wanna quit the drugs, then he's not going to. And he'll end up in jail in a short time for robbing someone else. He really needs some TOUGH LOVE. If you bail him out every time he gets arrested he's gonna start to expect that from you. And what are you gonna do when he goes to jail for holding up a gas station, or killing a man so he can get enough money to get one more fix. |

If he hasn't went to court, yet for sentencing he should go to rehabilition to prove to the courts he is at least trying to get help for his addiction.Rehab will write a letter for him to the courts if he is really going to get help for himself.Otherwise,he will go to jail.Getting a job and paying the people back what he stole also looks good to the courts at the time of his sentenceing.I feel for him having this awful addiction but it's better he get help now before it's too late. |

If you can't afford an attorney...ask for a public defender...their service is free.... your son needs medical help...he is trying to kill himself.

He's 19, he's an adult. He created the problem for himself. If you want to help him, give him some tough love and tell him he's completely on his own. |

Prison will do him good obviously there has to be a reason he's using meth no parental supervision or role model to show him the correct path in life I dont want to hear about peer pressure or living enviorment . I live near the capital of drug usage in the U.S . Let him do his time , Otherwise he'll never learn , Dont beg for help and if you cant afford a lawyer the court will appoint one that was read to him when he was arrested, Use tough love thats the only method of help otherwise you're enabliing him to use again |

Court should appoint an attorney.
Being in jail should hopefully help him.
Stay positive! |

He doesn't want help, he wants help because he was busted and asking for help is a way to get himself off..in jail he may learn to grow up and be responsible for his actions..there he will receive the discipline he needs..sorry to say this, but he violated a persons home!!! And his drug use is responsible..if he wanted help he would have sought it the first time he broke in..he is playing with fire..cut the strings for a bit and let him owe his dues...think of the family he violated and maybe in time you will realize that you did him a yourself a favour |

can't do anything about it. Just pray that he'll change his ways while he's spending time in jail. It might be good for him. |

He can kill himself and save us from paying taxes to have him put in jail and taken to trial. Maybe if you killed yourself it would set a good example! We wiil miss you and you can take comfort from that! |

sorry to say but he is not going to learn until you let him sit in there for his term that he is sentenced |

He is in the right place for now.
He DID NOT NEED to STEAL for his addiction.
He should work at a job to fund his addiction, not foist the cost of it on others by stealing and breaking and entering.
In some states, he could be legally shot for entering someone else's home without permission. He needs to wake up.... there are a lot of roses to smell, why waste time sniffing skunks.
You cannot help him until he decides to help himself...... he may have to go so low that the only thing he can see is up.... when that is the only direction left, you either take it or you die.
When it comes to drugs, there are three ways to go about it.... USE.... or ABUSE...or ABSTAIN..... it is up to the user to decide the path he wants to follow, then act upon that decision. |

Wow, I'm sorry to hear about your hardships right now! I know someone who robbed 4 houses, no one was home, no one was hurt, and he got an 18 year sentence. He was 17 at the time, he's now 32 and he's still locked up. I would say take that deal, it sounds like a pretty good one to me. |

inpatient rehab. try to strike a deal where he will be in an in patient rehab facility. beats prison. don't forget their is a victim in all this and he did commit a crime. some sort of restitution might be offered by him or the family to pay for any damages or property that was stolen. make sure he stays off of drugs they will only do this for 1 time offenders, the second time is prison. |

why just give him a slap on a wrist? he will go do it again. dont do the crime if you cant do the time. and put him in rehab get the kid some help hes young he still has his whole life ahead of him make him pay for what he did and get him help and maybe when its all over some good will come out of it and we will get some displine |
