If he keeps or loses his license will depend on a number of things. What is his driving record like? What state do you live in? What kind of day is the judge having. What kind of attitude does your boyfriend have when he is standing in front of said judge?
Here in Texas, he would just pay a fine (it would be about $280 here in San Antonio, unless it was a school zone, then it would be about $360) and go about his business. |

Law change depend on what country you are.
But in general I don't think he will lose his liscence.
Here in Canada, you begin with only 2 points. and after 2 years it's 15 points. So if you lose this 2 point. You lose it.
So maybe it depend on how much time your BF have his liscence.
but Just look at his card. They probably have a number behind the card.
Call them.
By the way tell him it's very dangerous. do 50 in a 22 km/h zone mean it's a residence sector where children are there.
Tell him to go on a racing thing not on the street.

As usual depends on the laws of your state. If not he should get a HEFTY fine and an increase in car insurance costs. He will definately be paying for it. |

Going 26 over he could easily be charged with negligent driving, but the officer that nailed him would have done that at the time. If all he got was a ticket, he should just get fined.

Depends on State, amount of points on his license prior, and what he was ticketed for, if it was ONLY for that. Most likely not though. |

What state are you in? That would make a lot of difference. Also, was it a construction or school zone, because that would increase the seriousness of the ticket. If not, then it is likely just a fine, and his insurance rates might go up. Once you are 25mph over the speed limit, though, it is a tougher ticket generally. He can also probably plea not guilty and then at the Court appearance make a plea bargain for a lesser charge. |

It depends on his driving history. In my state you need 12 points to lose your license, except for DUI/DWI's. If he has other driving offenses within the past 3 years, he may be getting enough points to lose his license. I don't think any of us can tell you here without knowing his driving history. |
