it is a third degree larceny charge. sentenced for 6 months.

tis is something that happened in 2005. really it was a stupid thing. the crime was originally coercian. he didn't steal anything. all due to a nude picture.

You cannot bail out of a conviction. The only exception to this is an appeal bond, which is where you appeal the sentence and the judge agrees to provide a bond amount during the appeal. This is rare, however.
Generally, the purpose of bail is to allow the ACCUSED a chance to get out of jail while the case is being processed in the court. In exchange for a release from custody, you are providing money to ensure you will return for your court dates and other conditions placed by the judge. |

It really depends on where you are. there are multiple ways to go about this. if your boyfriend has an attorney it would be easier. you can file a "Motion to Modify Sentence" with the court. Appeals are another method, however the amount of time that they take in court is not going to help you d/t him only having a 6 month sentence. basically it is ultimately up to the judge that sentenced him to what ever facility that he is sentenced to. you can have him write to the judge and plead for mercy and hope to get an early release based on the fact that it is a non violent crime and the current jail population is probably over capacity |
