Go to the police and explain everything.

It is too late for everyone to get out without a problem. If you're lucky, they may not charge, and only fine you, especially considering that you have a baby daughter. But do this ASAP as it may be a lengthy process. You may also be required to check in regularly, or be asked to visit a medical doctor who will evaluate the situation, as well as social workers who will assess risks to your health and your daughter's health and well-being as well.

I really don't know if you are telling the truth, because many women change their stories once their husbands or boyfriends or in some cases girlfriends face charges. That is why the state takes over because they understand the fear of the partners who have decided to change their tunes once the law gets involved.Maybe you were playing but it sounds like you are now scared. The judge, through his lawyer will have to take into consideration your statement,so I wouldn't worry too much about that. They might just watch you two for any future incidents that occur.Good luck. I will tell you though that if you are living with an abusive boyfriend then it is time to seriously begin thinking about your child, and how this violence will affect her.

I think you feel guilty and responsible for the trouble your boyfriend is in and I don't think you lied to the police I think you are lying now to try to get him out of trouble. I hope you know things will not get better with him and if he does get out of this trouble he will never let you forget it. You are not ready to accept this yet you still think if you are good enough things will be great but you will never be good enough to fix the problem because you are not the problem he is. If I am wrong I apologize but if I am right I hope very soon you will realize you cannot make this situation work and you will not hesitate to find the happiness you deserve elsewhere. I'm not judging you I've been there done that.

You'll look like a bigger moron if you try and convince the DA that that's what actually happened. Just be honest, tell them he kicked your *** but you no longer want anything done about it.

As a prosecutor I have had to listen to countless women like you that want to cover for their no-good woman-beating boyfriends. This guy broke your nose. You know it was no accident. Look at your question: do you think anyone really believes the convoluted story of how you were 'wrestling around' (mutual), got into an argument, and you "ended up hitting (your) nasal bone on the bottom of (your) refrigerator"? Run from this imbecile like he was radioactive! so you have a child by him - do you want that child to grow up seeing him beat on you? Is his financial support worth THAT? YOU know he did it on purpose. I hope you are not like the majority of the women I see, that show up for court on the arms of their abusive boyfriends, claiming "accident." You deserve better, no one has the right to beat on you. Please take my advice seriously

Why on earth did you "tell them a different story?" If I were your boyfriend and you ruined my life with this arrest, I would never trust you again. Shame on you.
If you can't get the City Attorney to drop the case, then you will have to get on the witness stand at your boyfriend's trial and recant. It will be embarrassing, but it is probably the only way to stop the process. He could do prison time behind your lie, and a Domestic Violence conviction will keep him from getting a decent job, because with bodily injury it will probably be a felony conviction.
I am sorry to be so harsh, but I have seen people's lives go into the toilet because of vicious lies from their "significant others."

why did you lie about it in the first place . You don't do that to somebody you love. For the future do not wrestle again

If you change your story to this one now, it looks like you may face a filing a false police report charges and you will wind up in jail and deservedly so.

THE FIRST THINK YOU DID WRONG IS TO TELL A LIE.YOU SAID YOU HAVE A DAUGHTER TOO.I'M ANNOYED .HAVING A DAUGHTER WITH MARRYING HIM?NOW THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO IS TO ACCEPT YOUR FAULT AND TELL THE TRUTH.AS MY POLICY IS TRUTH ALONE TRIUMPHS

It sounds like you filed a false report to the police and you could be in trouble as well.

Even if you drop the charges, the state doesn't have to. Domestic violence is not taken lightly in many areas. If he is convicted of this crime and his sentencing has been given, you will know what you are facing at this point.

In some cases he could get a 5 year sentence, do a few years in prison and come out on parole, depending on the stipulation.

My husband is in prison for a non-violent conviction. Welcome to the judicial system!

The truth will set the both of you free!!!!!!!

if you press charges, try to drop them, if the state picks up the charges they dont have a case if you changed your story. when you go to court tell the judge you fell. they will have to dismiss it.i have been through the same situation except my boyfriend did hit me and i told police it was someone else and the over jealouse female cop press charges against my boyfriend. when i went to court i told prosecutor he didnt do it . they had to drop the charges. your boyfriend will be ok.

Contact the DA and plead your case. Get credible character witnesses for your boyfriend. Don't EVER call the cops unless your life is in danger. They are a bunch of good for nothing losers who thrive off of other peoples misery.
