The other answer is correct. If he was already on probation, then he has been in trouble before, and has made the bad much worse.

The conditions were clear and he chose to ignore them. Basically he's living on the beneficience of the state, so they can be as tough or as lenient on him as they want. There is more to this story, though. They did NOT wait for weeks, watching his house for the moment they spotted a beer can on the kitchen table. So, for some reason, they were involved with another incident in which he was involved, and it was found out that he was also on probation. AND it was severe enough to get his butt thrown in jail for it.

Nope, sorry, no innocence plea that this is his 'first time' baloney. So what's your question? If he got probation in the first place, he'll probably get back out again after spending a few days in lockup to drive home the point.

Patrick said is perfectly. If you're on probation, then you've obviously done something to get in trouble in the past.

And if he's gonna break the law, then he deserves to be in jail. It's that simple.

yes he has been in jail more than once, why do you have a boyfriend who likes to be in jail? b/c he knew hes on probation and he still was drinking...you should find out whats up with him or break up b/c this will get violent in the future

Don't panic that's the first thing. Most guys who are on probation cant seem to realize, that if they continue with their current lawless behavior they go to jail. Its real easy to see who's serious about being a real productive member of society
and who's not. Having said that, don't panic what ever happens to him depends on him. Legally, not much will happen, he could get out before you read this or he might have to stay 2-30 days for a probation violation.
Reality check...... Ask your self, do you want a boyfriend that is in and out of jail all the time? Please move on you deserve better than him and his behavior.

Ok not sure what your question is. I can tell you right off the bat this isnt the 1st time your bf is in trouble, if he's on probation he's already had at least 1 run in with the law. Depending on where you live the judge has a number of options 1) Revoke the probation and have your bf serve the remainder in jail 2) Sentence your probation to jail time for violating probation anywhere from 30 days to 2 yeats 3) Sentence your bf to probation again this time with more harsh conditions.
