my son was in the wrong place at the wrong time (his poor choices)
and got vehicle vandalized and himself stabbed in the back (if stabber had been even fairly well trained, it would have been fatal, as it was, the wound was relatively superficial)
local constable (in a different county than ours), took a long time to track down the facts
the stabber is was brought up on charges and made a deal for 3 yrs
the vehicle beater is paying q month to pay for repairs rather than wherever they would send a 16yo
anyway, the point is that if you pursue it, a reasonable outcome is possible, and i would have not expected such an outcome prior to this event

listen, these people don't know what they are talking about. Of course it is aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy and reckless endangerment to a minor but it all depends on the persons rap sheet. If its his first time , hes going to get a slap on the wrist and probation. You can sue him in civil court though.

Yes. based on how hurt your brother got depends on what prosecution that the guy gets. if he was pretty beat up and bleeding a bruised, they could go to jail for attempted murder.
