"local resolution" means that the matter will be dealt with by the local station commander having a look at the evidence and probably just telling the copper responsible to be more careful.
Never choose Local resolution if you have a serious complaint - always go to the IPCC.
I assume your door was fixed at the police cost. If it has been then just forget it now and put it down to experience and if anything happens in future take the proper route with the IPCC.

Start the whole thing again or just forget about it. After all they made a mistake and you said they apologised. What do you actually want from them? |

I do feel sorry for you but wonder what outcome you are seeking. It does seem like a lot of hassle for very little in return. You might get a written apology and maybe the cost of a new door. In terms of priority I would imagine that the Police have your complaint very near the bottom of the pile. |

Contact the Professional Standards Department at your local Police Headquarters, explain that you are not happy with the way your complaint has been dealt with. If you go to the IPCC they will just pass your complaint to your local Police Force in the first instance, so you might as well do it yourself. |

I take it they replaced/repaired your door and you've had an apology. I'm not sure what else you want out of them, they've admitted they made a mistake.
If you really want to drag this on and on then write to the Officer in Charge at the station and ask him/her to find out what is going on. It IS always possible your statement has been misfiled or something, police stations are groaning under the weight of paper. |

I would take the complaints to a higher power. Like for example if you live in a town go to the town council, the mayor, if nothing comes of it from that, then I would go to the public, make your complaints known to the media get attention that way. You;ll definitely get some action by going to the newspapers and tv news outlets |

OLD NO IT ALL, has given the best advice write to the engine driver as the oil rag aint worth a light. With your letter send copies of all correspondence that relates to your complaint. He holds the BIG stick and get your local press involved even take it to his HQ by hand get some one to picture you handing it over.Power to your arm, up the Rebs |

It would be wise to move to another state after following my advice. Write an email or preferrably a hand written letter to every state representative and congressman you possibly can. Follow up on your complaints with phone calls and emails. If they turn your complaint over to a police chief watch out because that police chief will beat you silly with his nightstick. |

Keep complaining. The person you spoke to may not be able to find your complaint, but keep complaining, Im sure it will turn up sooner or later. Have you got these letters and emails? Can you get copies of the letters sent by your MP?
Also, go to the local paper. See if they want to write a story on it. Usually bad publicity will get the government moving. |

You could:
Go to citizens advice bureau

Go to you local council
Go to the regional police chief, you local constabulary etc. basically take it above thier head
Go to you MP again |

Start legal proceedings against the Chief Constable. (In London it's the Metropolitan Police Commissioner). You'll be amazed at how quickly they find your papers. |

They are stonewalling. They are not going to pay for repairs.
The police are above the law- you might as well accept it.
If you continue to pursue this, YOU will be the one that will be beaten and jailed. |

Go down to the Police Station and start shouting and screaming in the lobby area - you soon get the attention from the station inspector or superintendant.
Don't stop shouting until they get someone down to you - if they arrest you - get the local papers involved - the police will then back down especially as you have every piece of evidence to support your claims.
It works a treat - honest |

Yes what is the roll of the IPCC ?
Taxpayers money going to waste just as it is with the police.
I am from Newcastle home of the pshycholigaly abused victim of Northumria Police, how do I know well I am involved in the IPCC complaint and also being psychologically abused which have driven me to attempts of suicide. The EHRC say the police are in violation of section 3 of the human rights act.
Who also has no backbone so I have found to be the case!
I have raised many complaints to the IPCC regarding some very serious criminal offences from highly ranked officers, within the force for crimes of pergury, conspiring to pervert the justice, violation of section 3 of The human Rights Act, Failing to protect children and vulnerable adults, fabricated stories to erase date. Even when suicidal acer attending A & E to say I was being abused by police, soon acer I was ejected by an officer in who refused me the right to seek medical help. This means that we do not have a right to seek medical advice.
Also an Inspector failing in the duty to arrest those that commited a serious crime by failing to arrest those respondable for the crime conspiracy with intent which is classed as a serious criminal offence with a sentence of life in prison. Why because when I reported thatch child was at risk the police failed respond leaving the child to be abused who now faces being charged with conspiracy with intent simply because it would show the truth that the police did fail to protect.
Instead, I the victim left disfigured for life its the one bring pshycholgically abused.
Yes I am in the same position as Raoul Moat was, which the IPCC passed this suspicious matter on to the PSD of the same force in question. Who I have submitted have submitted an IPCC complaint against the PSD for corruption and reverting the cause of justice.
Is this not a veryr serious and genuine complaint in which you would expect media coverage ?
I know by my efforts that the IPVC are not affective and have real power, however you can go.to Europe and the United Nations I have contacted HMIC waste of time.
I'm not bothered to be honest, at least I have done things that have shown corupylrion exists at night level and I pose problems for the police where I have shown that corruption. Exits and with this being the case I am aware,my life in in dange
I use my phone to video record and I also have a,voice recorder which are, able
