Did You SERIOUSLY Just Ask That?

Why should I help you when All you do is speed and risk the lives of others. This is your second or third time, right? Sad. |

They are going to take your license. Sorry but the judge doesn't make the rules, he enforces them. |

The first piece of advise I am morally required to offer you is as follows: stop speeding!
As far as preventing your license from being suspended, I would suggest you question the legitimacy of the second ticket by pointing out that neither of the cops had clocked you. If they can't prove that you were actually speeding, then they can't legitimately give you a ticket.
For the future: Don't worry about the people who are tailgating you. You're always going to get tailgated, so you might as well get used to it. |

Dude, slow down. What's behind you is not important. |

I don't think an officer can "just know" you were speeding. They have to determine you were speeding, either by radar or tailing you. Some qualitative/quantitative mean. They can't just "guess". You might try to exploit that part of the case. Get a lawyer.
Oh, the judge won't care that you were punished. If you broke the law you have to suffer the consequences. Sorry. |

You probably will wind up getting your license suspended no matter what. What you can help is lowering any fines. It would massively help if someone does mention punishment and it would be even better if you say he's going to keep it until you move out. Kudos for slowing down and mentioning that those were the only two times will also help. |

I think the first thing you need to do is realize that you were not cited on either date for speeding. You were ticketed for "failure to obey a highway sign."
This could be signaling before changing lanes, staying in a restricted lane, etc.
The fact that you are justifying speeding with "everyone speeds where I live" tells me and would tell a judge that you need to spend some time on the bus. |

So your father is willing to go to court and commit perjury for you? Your family doesn't have much respect for the law do you?
You need to lose your license and being under 18 the Judge will facilitate that since you learn nothing just from being ticketed.
It is very sad your father is willing to lie for you instead of going to court and telling the Judge "Don't worry Judge I am selling his/her car"!
With your smart mouth it might be best you SHUT IT when in court and hopefully the Judge WILL throw the book at you. |

You can fight it and win, especially if the cop doesn't show, which is often... Don't say that you have driven carefully since the tickets, say that you have always driven carefully... but yes, the info would be helpful, especially being punished at home... The simple fact that there is no documentation of your speed is enough to get it thrown out... Good luck |
