The fact that she has a child will actually make it worse.

2006 to now means that the police have her dead to rights as far as being guilty. They have some evidence up to the present day.

So her choice...... She gets an awesome lawyer and maybe works it out or she loses her child. She can cooperate w. the police and maybe work something out.

But with these three charges she should assign guardianship to one of her parents, a grandparent or an aunt or uncle.

i take it she has quit selling and doing drugs? if so, then she'll need a good attorney. if it's a first offense and she can prove that she's improved her life and is staying on the straight path--they MIGHT give her probation. it really depends on the court. tell her to dress nice and treat the court officers with respect. if she has some people that can offer character refrences, that might help too. also--they may just be wanting some info from her and might be willing to drop the charges if she's willing to give them info.

As you can see for the different answers, no-one here can give an accurate answer.

I'd advise that she either somehow gets an exceptional attorney who can somehow get a "not guilty" verdict for her (which ain't gonna happen) or she contacts her local task force and see if they'll step in, have the charges set aside if she works with them.

She will do some time and loose her child, as she should.

Most likely probation. In most jurisdictions the offenses are c- class felonies and punishable from a year and a day up to ten years. On a first offense she has a good chance for probation. Most Judges dont care about the having kids thing. They typically comment that your kid didnt keep you from selling drugs so why should your kid keep you out of prison. two cents worth.

She is most likely going to do some jail time and unless she makes arrangements to give temporary custody to a family member, CPS will make the arrangements for her. If her children were any where around her like in the house or car when she made the sales, they can ammend the charges to include child endangerment and she can lose permanent custody of her child.

It depends on how much she got busted with, the ages of those using the "drug" house, how much danger her child was in. She could lose the child as well as go to jail.Considering what she did, it might be better for the kid to be taken from someone with so little regard for the law and her own child as to expose them to this kind of idiocy.

She better get a lawyer that charges more than she can afford. If she does not get a lawyer it's hard to predict how bad it will be, but it will be VERY BAD! With a lawyer, it will still be very bad, but she had 18 months to try to mitigate the damage and did nothing.

Especially with a kid, she should be more responsible. I don't feel sorry for her at all. I feel sorry for the child though.

Maybe time in jail will give her time to think about her life.

She definately does need a good lawyer. Since she has been able to turn her life around she will probably get some sort of brake. Good thing the kid wasn't with her or she would probably lose it. However, did she just abandon her child for that year & let her mom raise it? That's pretty bad too. She should have some of her family & maybe employer etc. go to court as character witnesses- people do change. Best of luck to her.

Not familiar with mich law but with a good attorney, not court appointed she'll prob. get probation and drug classes along with fines this depends on how much she was growing/selling in va marijuana charges r just a slap on the wrist just tell her to be polite and cooperative iv had several friends busted for growing/selling some several pounds and none ever served any jail time also very unlikely she'll lose the kid the state cant afford to raise every pothead/dealers children

Never snitch! Don't ever listen to that BS! The whole reason she got busted in the first place is because a snitch was involved I'm sure. Don't crack under pressure. I'm facing the same charges right now. And its because a girl with a kid thought she was gonna lose it when they busted her selling weed or whatever. So she turns around and starts snitching on her friends now everyone hates her/ knows she's a narc. And she had to move away. Now my life is ruined as well. And I'm sure SANE wants her to keep snitching or they will start threating her again. BOTTOM LINE: Snitching is for weak people. SO IF YOU ARE A SNITCH ON A NON VIOLENT CRIME YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM!!! STOP SNITCHING!!!
