First time offense may be a misdemeanor...hope that nips her clepto sticky fingers in the bud.
Not trying to preach here, but what part of THOU SHALL NOT STEAL did she not understand?
Maybe now that she is 18, she can step into the real world and learn the value of a hard earned dollar and pay for what she wants and needs. Heaven forbid some one come along and steal from her something she worked hard to get; as I am sure whom ever she stole from worked within their business to get whatever she stole. See where I am going with this?
Stealing is just not cool. You can give me a thumbs down if you like, but I FIRMLY stand behind my morals and values.
God Bless!! |

They will cut off her hand. (Just kidding) Jail time or sentence served in the community. |

she'll be charged as a 17 y.o. she'll probably get community service if this is her first time. Hopefully she learned from her mistake because next time they won't be so easy on her. |

It depends on what she stole they might give her bail or a fine to pay back who she stole from. |

Depends on the state. In my state, 17 is considered an adult when under arrest. |

she was 17 when it happened? i think she will get out of it pretty easy, most likely she will have to do community service (maybe 40 hours). |
