It is not okay to hit a girl or a guy for that matter. Just leave her. Sounds like one of you is going to eventually land in jail because of the violence and it will most likely be you...That's just how the system is structured. End it now before it gets to that point. Good luck.

If she calls the cops ... even if you are protecting yourself , once you hit her you'll probably both spend the night in jail.
Best thing is don't hit her ... When she hits you (leaves a mark) , then call the cops on her .

You've got a major red flag here, dude. It sounds like your girlfriend wants you to hit her and let me tell you something right now: No matter what happens, cops will always believe the woman.

Saying "she hit me first" or "it was self defense" is moot. Cops ALWAYS believe the girl and you'll be the one in trouble. Honestly, I would ditch this girl because you dont deserve to get hit over trivial matters.

It's very likely, especially if marks are left. If the police are called due to the fight, both of you may end up getting taken to jail. Your best bet is to just walk away if you can and not engage in a physical altercation with a female. It sounds like this has happened numerous times, I don't see why you would stay with somebody who thinks so little of you that they'd hit you. I've investigated a lot of domestic violence situations and they never get better on their own. Something drastic has to happen- an arrest, separation, death, etc. Tell her she has to go to anger management counseling or you will leave her. Also, let her know if she is ever violent with you again that you will call the police and file charges. Good Luck

she can get in trouble for hitting you. but even if she hits you first you can get in trouble for hitting her, even in self defense becuase you can walk away. if shes going to hit you and not want any theorpy your better off with out her

Yep, you likely will. And it could esculate to someone getting really hurt or dead.

If I were you, I'd think long and hard about why you want to be with her. She clearly isn't interested in working out things, and her hitting you and then taunting you seems like a really bad sign.

If you hit her it is domestic battery and you could go to jail. If she hits you it is domestic battery and she could go to jail. Why do you want to be with someone who treats you that way? Love doesn't equal violence and abuse.
