My husband is in the navy, and came home to visit. he is stationed in Va. On the way home from dinner we were pulled over by the police, and were given a "fix-it-ticket." my husband has a court day in may to show that the required things are fixed, but he wont be in california due to the fact hes stationed in va. What should we do?

If you can get that fixed then go to the local police and show them that it was taken care of and they should be able to cancel it, or give you a statement to take to the court to show it's checked out OK. He shouldn't have to be there. |

Get the things fixed BEFORE the court date and take the proof in to the court house.that should settle things |

1) Fix it. Take pictures of it fixed.
2) Call the county clerk of court in california where he got the ticket.
3) The nice ladies there will tell you how to proceed.
4) They don't want to make things hard on you, they just wan to be sure that you fixed it. With all the military in CA., I'm sure they have dealt with just this issue before. |

Talk to the police department and they will set you in the right direction. What will probably happen is that you will be required to send in copies/proofs in the mail. |

get what needs to be fixed, attach the bill with the ticket and send it in and that's it, your husband doesn't not have to be present to do this, anyone can do it |
