No...the only way you would get a criminal record is if charges were laid...and obviously they weren't if the police were gone when you got back home. |

What a waste of police time! Your mum called them because u uplugged the TV!!!!!
Thats ludicrous, they should be out there catching peado's & rapists not wasting time on this!
Shocking!!!!!! |
|

Honestly, now
 |
Naaaah. The police probably laughed at your mom all the way back to the police station. |

They will have a record cause they came to the house. No big deal. |
|

cynica

No sounds like they were just defusing the situation until everyone calmed down.
Arguing and unplugging a TV isn't a crime. ( We hope!) |

Probably not, but it sounds to me like you need to calm down from now on. You also need to remember one other MAJOR thing. It's not your house. You have no right to mess with your mother's TV. I bet she bought the computer for you too? All the while you stay under the roof your parents paid for, eat the food they pay for and have your washing done for you, you do not have the right to make any rules - move out and you can set your own rules then. |
|

you cannot get a criminal record because you argued with your mum and unplugged the tv so don't panic.
you both need to calm down and i don't understand why your mother felt the need to call the police? is there more to it than what you've already said? try and talk to each other if possible and sort things out if you can, or maybe some space for the 2 of you would be the right way to go |
|

They only turned up because the call was a waste of time and taxpayers' money.
If there had been any danger you would not have even seen them. |

More importantly stop acting like a spoilt brat, your mother obviously had good reason for what she did. You don`t like it, tough! go get yourself an apartment, and no you don`t have a criminal record YET!. Of course the incident will be recorded, so behave yourself. |

Your mum took things a bit far didnt she?? |

No. It is not a crime to unplug a TV. |

Your mother was lucky that they turned up at all, leave alone while you were still angry. It shows that they care in your area.
When I phoned the police in Lincoln (UK) a couple of years ago ( and I was phoning from the Middle East so they had to know I was worried) to say that I had not been able to contact my very aged parents for two days, it took them more than three hours before a policeman made it to my parents door, some 7 minutes drive from the police station!
As it turned out there was a problem with my parents phone, but that is not the point. |

No you wont. i would on the whole agree with Cuddles. but would also say this. You only have one mother, life is short and one day your going to be without her in your life. so try and patch up your differences as best you can. and try and enjoy the time you have with her. because regrets are something that is not very nice to have later in life. |
|

no of course you wont. you'd know about itby now if they were investigating you for anything. Your mum hasnt filed any formal charges against you so your ok and there isnt anything for her to file against you anyway.. Think about it, you havent done anything they can punish you for. Arguing with your mum isnt a punishable offence by law and nor is unplugging the TV. |

no, you shouldnt have a record. the call out will be recorded but it wont go against u at any time in your life. dnt worry you would only get a criminal record if you got CHARGED (took to court etc) with something like assualt on your mum or sumet like that but from what i jus read youll be alright kid. |

Maybe the policemen were just hungry and your mom made them something to eat. |

No it's unlikely you will get a criminal record as you were not placed under arrest by the officers attending the scene.
It is likely however that you will be receiving a written warning in the post on behalf of the police officers in question.
I don't however think it was advisable or very sensible for them to have told you to go for a drive in an irate state. That is the worst time for driving and this should in my opinion never have been advised. |

You can't get a criminal record no.
Perhaps your mum is finding it difficult to cope with you. Perhaps this latest incident is a string of things and she felt she had to call the police as the final straw in the hope that would you scare you into behaving better.
Perhaps you could have a think about why she unplugged your computer... |

Oh dear do you know in some countries you can get the death sentence for unplugging TVs. You should have known better. All I can say is that its a good job you live in UK....

Your angry and the police sent you to go driving?! no way! you should of crashed and sued the police for sending you out driving!
There's more chance your mum will be done for wasting Policemens time. |

i dont think it warrented phoning the cops unless violence was involved..no dont worry..no harm done but your mum needs to chill a bit over the top if u ask me |
|

Clairejoy
 |
No, don't worry. If they were going to do anything, they would have done it when they showed up. What you did was not illegal or threatening. |
|

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
|
No. they just know you as a trouble maker now. Quit fighting with your mum. And tell her that was a very stupid and dangerous thing to do. With all due respect. Putting you in their hands is like tossing you in with cobras. For goodness sake stop fighting. You'll soon be able to leave home if you want. get to work save your money , you shouldn't have time to get into arguments that get out of hand. I don't mean to be rude, but you both don't know how badly this could end. |
|

No, You didn't get a legal record. Obviously your mom is afraid of you. |

not got unplugging the TV and having an arguament with your mum no. whenever the police ger a call.. they have to go to who ever called them no matter how big or small the issue might be. they probably just wanted to calm the two of you down to prevent anything happening. also they will have taken notes just to be sure that they have gotton all the information that they need in case they have to go back.. police have to take notes about anything that has happened. |
