My neighbor has had no plates on his new car for 2 years now! Why? Isn't it suspicious?

I called the police about it and the guy over the phone made me feel like an idiot for calling. He didn't seem alarmed by it and we hung up. I'm still wondering how someone doesn't have plates for 2 years. Why do I feel like they're up to no good.

The car is being used everyday. They drive it all the time. They also haven't paid their property tax because I saw their address listed in the newspaper under where it lists delinquent tax payers. The family lives in a million dollar home and that car I'm talking about is a mercedes benz. They also keep purchaseing new cars for their kids. They're all luxury cars! I can't help but see the car all the time because it's in my plain view! So who do I call? What is the number for the IRS?

type contact irs by phone in your search engine and find the number locally for you. you definitely should report this. it is your business. the reason we're in this bad economy is because of people like your neighbor and people like the ones on here saying to mind your own business when it is your business.

For one thing you should contact the IRS. Police these days seem they are more corrupt anyway, especially when they are all over the news! If it were you or I driving without license plates for two years, you can be assured that we would be stopped and the book thrown at us! You can find your local number at IRS. gov online in your area! Good luck!

You called the police, and they didn't seem alarmed, so I think I would drop it. You tried. If your neighbors were up to no good, I would think the last thing they would do would be to drive around without tags. Surely they risk the chance of being pulled over.

Well, If the neighbor drives the car off his property, then you can call the police. BTW (is a car new if it's 2 years old?). You could report this driving without tags to you local tv station --- especially at tax time.

Screw the cops. Call the IRS or your local state Tax Revenue Service. Believe me the State and Federal folks don't play about taxes.

It just makes your car look brand new with dealer plates or no plates on your car. I had my dealer plates on for about a year and half before i got pulled over for speeding and then put my regular plates on
