We live in Victoria, Australia. My partner has been caught driving an unregistered vehicle 4 times now (silly I know!!) It has been a few months since the last time, but he knows that he will be getting a court summons one day soon...
He has finally learnt his lesson and is selling his car, even though he has gotten his license back. He is enrolling in uni and getting his life on track...
Will he go to jail, get a fine, community service???? I guess Im hoping for the anything other than jail....
He has no prior convictions...
Please help me!!!

if he was in Qld his car would have been impounded by now and impounded for six months. They seem to be cracking down on driving offenses, with jail terms being handed out more often. My advise is seek legal advise, the fact that he has sold his car and taken away the temptation, is a good thing, good enough to get off is another matter.
You may have to accept the fact that jail is a good chance, but don't let that get you down too much, as I say seek legal council before going to court, they are more able to assist him in ensuing his future freedom. |

I live in Ontario here it is a traffic crime punishable by a fine you don;t even have to go to court if your don't want to get your license back I was caught twice in the same week blew off the court dates and nothing has happened cause it's just traffic and is not a criminal offense |
