Depends on what state you are in. I would consider getting a lawyer though, one with a set fee for this type of thing (call around), as it is a possibility in some states that he will not be allowed to get a drivers license until he is 18 now - but if you live in Mass., it could only be a 60 day license suspension :)
Just google "teen driving without license" plus the name of your state and state websites outlining the penalties will come up. |

Depends on which state your in, but i expect he will get somekind of suspension. If hes a first time offender he might even get off with a warning and a small fine. |

It depends on the judge and where you live. In some states, it'll just be a fine and maybe some service hours. In other states, they might not allow him to have a license until he's 18 now. |

It depends on the state. Some places will make him wait an extra six months to get his license. |

he may lose his license till he is 21
get a sob/pity story
ignorance may work but he admits what he did was wrong and throws himself on their mercy, he may walk away with a slap on the wrist
DO NOT LET HIM DO IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Shoupdn't be too much problems. It is a frequent dilema, you wouldn't be the first to go through this. I don't think there are any serious punishments, maybe a fine and have his permit revoked or something like that. |

They may not let him get his license for a while!! With that law they are on a probationary period for a while!! |

perhaps his permit will be suspended, and or your insurance will go up dramatically I am sure. Probably a fine also in court. Maybe they would take his license. Depends on how the judges day is going... He will have that on his driving record also... |

Depending on the municipality, he might have his driving privileges revoked until he's 21, or he might just have to pay a fine plus court costs. In New York State, a student driver must be within a 1/4 mile of a licensed driver and can drive on the city streets. I hear that in New Jersey it's TOTALLY different... you can't even practice on a city street with or without an instructor. Check your local Motor Vehicles office. |

I know the fine is not much, just go to court and have him appologize saying that he knows what he did was wrong and that he understands that he could have hurt someone. Also if he has good grades bring a copy of the report card along to show that he normally does not make bad decisions. Good luck with that. |

Odds are they will put something on him until he turns 18. Thus meaning that if he gets stopped again, he could be in trouble and have his license suspended until he is 18. Or they could just suspend it now until he is 18. Kinda depends on what he got stopped and got the ticket for. |

WOW......they'll probably ask for his license or proof. |

I got charged with that in Ohio.
They gave me a fine of $200, suspended my license for two years and I had High risk insurance til I was 23. This happened when I was 18.
I also had a "re-instatement Fee" for $125
Theyre really too hard on people for this kinda stuff. |

He will more than likely not be able to get his lisence untill 18 and you will probably have to pay a find. (they find you for everything) |

Good question: First you must understand that Police/Courts want one thing and one thing only "OUR MONEY" you can Pay them off and this will go away |
