or bicycst? bicyclar? i don't know the word for that. he was driving on the right sight of the road but wrongly and he made to hit her hood and then exchanged numbers but ran off and siad he was okay. then he calls an hour later with head ache and says to sew her? is this a legal? should i "lawyer up" as they say on the tV

It's bicyclist. And yes you should get a lawyer or this guy will try to blackmail you. He may be a scam artist who does this for a living. A good lawyer can investigate his background and see if he's done this before. Good luck. |

Yeah, I'd get a lawyer. If your wife can prove he made the wrong move then it'll be solved in court, and if she can't then he's lying (unless you are now. . . just kiddin').

Would have been best to get witness description of how not riding on road correctly. Bicycalist (anything with wheels) considered moving vehicle. If wife was passing, she sould have done so in other lane as if passing a car. Good reason to keep camera or picture phone. Could have had quick shot on opposite side of road way passing legally. But will be in favor that he was well enough to drive himself away. Also, hope he can't get contingency lawyer to take the case. Then maybe he can't afford to arrive in court with medical evidence of injuries. (Assuming false injuries.) But if really injured, auto insurance should cover.
Do not talk this person at all. Let him know since suit involved that you will take his phone number for your lawyer to contact him. He's probably hoping that you will settle out of court & may not decide to contact you again if he has no medical proof of injuries.
He can't even say wife drove off & left him in pain, b/c information was traded at seen.
If no disernable injuries other than a hospital report where only found that he said he was hurt & maybe got a stay out of work 3 days & come back in for follow-up, then could look at missed wages times 3 for pain & suffering. |
