NYPD hiring question?

I took the nypd exam about 3-5 months ago and i scored a 77 and i was ranked about 700 but I havent heard anything...Is the NYPD still hiring or are they on a hiring strike...Does anybody know??

Bad news is the list was frozen because of the current budgets and or revenue situations.
Good news, the longer the wait, the more drop out and take other jobs that come up.

I took the nypd test back in either october and november and received around the same score you did and I received a letter in the mail to attend a medical exam in nyc but couldnt attend due to personal reasons.

i believe there has been a freeze. my nephew was waiting and was told there was a freeze. it started in december of 08
