injury and fraction nose.... anyway... that happened last year... now their attorney is offering a settlement to pay me a money and close the case... how much money I should ask?

It is up to you. The person who hit you...depends on if you want their life to rot forever or do you want their money? If you decide not to take the settlement money, you can go to court - they find him guilty - he gets a record that will ruin him for life. Obviosuly he doesn't want that, which is why the settlement is in the process.
But again, it is up to you. I'd ask for $10K. I would also talk to an attorney about how much you can ask for a settlement. If your nose was broken and you had to go to the hospital, you did have to pay medical fees. So, add that in there too. But, depends on your feelings. I would ask for the money and run if you'd ask me. A fractured nose is a temporary injury, not long term, so you should not give him a long-term record, but a short-term one time whopping fee of 10K or less. |

Add up all your medical expenses and the amount that would cover however many days of work you lost, plus any other losses, fees (including your attorney's fees). That's your starting figure. Then add some for pain and suffering, including embarrassment because you had to attend your daughter's wedding with a black eye, or your girlfriend left you because you didn't fight back, etc. |
