should i be afraid to play in my yard because the ball might accidently land in theirs. I shouldnt have to worry about that, they are a retired couple and they moved to a neighborhood with kids and to me it seems like they are trying to take advantage of us.
They have told us before not to let the ball land in their yard and we apologized and said we would try not to but we dont always have control where it goes. They are across the street from our front yard so the ball has a good chance of landing in their yard if it bounces off my friend or takes a bad bounce so should I just be so careful to the point im barely kicking or throwing the ball?

It sounds like you are playing in an area too small for whatever you are playing. Then you want people to support that when the ball lands in their yard. It's THEIR property. They have the say so for THEIR property. You can't find a park or larger area to play in? How is anyone "taking advantage" of you when they just want you to keep the ball out of their yard? You are not "entitled" to use their yard. I don't blame them. If someone tries to encroach on me, I will run them off. Fortunately for me, my neighbors aren't as thoughtless as you seem to be. |

Go to a store and buy as many balls as you can.After the couple goes to sleep tonight cover their yard in balls.Then ask them to please return your ball since they now have so many.It seems to me like this couple is not very neighborly.It could be that they think you are only using the ball as an excuse to case their house for a future robbery.Your other option could be to play down the street where the ball has no option of going into their yard.There should be a park close to your house where you can play.Have your parents invite the couple over for a BBQ and have your parents ask nicely for the ball. |
