Ohio Police Departments with own academy?

Hello i am 20 years old male about to be 21 and basically i wanna know what police departments in ohio have there own academy like you take the test get hired then complete their academy where you get paid for bein there then when you are complete you have a guaranteed job i know the cuty of Cleveland and Ohio State Highway Patrol does...thanks 10 pts for best

There are very few departments that actually run their own academy. To add to your list, the City of Columbus also does but I don't believe they are planning another class this year.

You may find several departments that are willing to hire someone who is not OPOTA certified and they will pay that person and pay to send them to an academy somewhere else (like one of the numerous local academies or actually send them to London, Ohio to attend the academy there).

The departments who do that regularly are not many though. Usually when they are ready to hire someone they don't want to wait 6 months to have that person ready to work (and then another 4-6 months of FTO). You may want to consider putting yourself through an academy and getting an auxiliary commission and trying to find a job that way. I have seen dozens of new hires at several agencies around me, I haven't seen a single one that wasn't certified when they hired them.
