No, it's not entrapment. It's called, I didn't see the Police so I thought I could travel 15 mph over the limit, and hope I don't get caught. |

No it isn't. It is called enforcing the law.
Entrapment would occur if he got into your car and goaded you into speeding and then gave you a ticket. Or perhaps pulling up in an unmarked car and goading you into racing. |

No, that is not entrapment.
Entrapment is when you are enticed into breaking the law when you would not have broken the law without the police intervention. Like if an undercover officer asks you to help him rob a bank and then arrests you.
There is nothing improper with troopers sitting in the gap between the concrete barriers on 270. Actually they sit there all the time, so take advantage of the lesson and slow down so they don't get you again.
The State Patrol also does speed enforcement with aircraft. If you think that cruiser/trooper was hard to see try looking for their plane. That is also a completely proper method of traffic enforcement. |

You admit you were violating the law. You got caught.
There is nothing in the law that prohibits the officer from being where he was when he clocked you.
Grow up and accept responsibility for your own actions and quite blaming others. |

No, it's not. |

Entrapment implies that had the officer not influenced you, you would NEVER have done the crime.
Say you're going the legal speed limit and some guy challenges you to a drag race. You accept, start racing, and that same guy radios ahead to an officer and has you pulled over. Turns out, that random guy was an undercover cop trying to catch speeders. THAT is entrapment. You weren't breaking the law until the other cop suggested it.
What happened to you was good police work. Sorry! |

No that is not entrapment. You sped so you got a ticket. |

If you are talking about the concrete barriers on i270, on the north side of town near the twin water towers, I was pulled over there yesterday for speeding. 82 in a 65. What a small world it is. |

No it is not entrapment. The police do not have to be in the open or in sight to use their radar gun. Entrapment is when the police encourage you to break the law. |

There is no law that says a policeman has to be in plain sight while he watches you break the law! LOL
I'm afraid you will have to take your medicine and swallow. It's unfortunate but if you weren't breaking the law, this wouldn't be an issue.
I don't suggest standing in front of a judge and saying, guilty with explaination and then tell him you were speeding but the cop was hiding, the cop should have let you know in advance....not |

No entrapment is when an officer entices you to do something you would not normally do. If the officer was riding with you and told you to speed and then wrote you a ticket-that would be entrapment. The Officer sitting off of the road where you can't see him-that's just common sense.
Pay the ticket. |

HAHAHAHA that is awesome... the things people think the police do to them illegally... WOW... i cant get enough of this...
it is only illegal in the UK for police to hide and catch speeders... here it is perfectly legal... DON'T BREAK THE LAW and you wont have any problems. Woman I am 23 yrs old I have been driving since I got my license... and I have never gotten a ticket or in an accident... my secret "I don't speed" speed limits are posted for a reason... there is a lot of planning and thought and measuring that goes into speed limits... look it up sometime I shan't do it for you because I doubt you will take the time to even read it and I already spent my allotted stupid question time reading this and typing this response...
G'day Mam and if you want to speed and see your "clocker" live in the UK
thanks for the laugh though :)
