okay im 16 and i've only had my licence for like 4 months and i got a speeding ticket, i was going 47 in a 25, thats not my prob, i live in ohio by the way. do they do drugs tests for them? i dont smoke but some of the ppl i hang with do and i was around them when they did, (dont care what u think about my friends so dont say anything to get the points for the answer).

We don't give drug tests after a ticket is issued, unless it is for DUI or DWI. If that was the case it would have been an arrest not a ticket. Don't worry about the drugs is your system. If I were you I would worry about your parents kicking your but after your licsense is suspended or the fine is so high you need to borow money from them to pay it. 22 over you are lucky you didn't go to jail for reckless driving or criminal speeding. |

They drug test speeders in Ohio? That sounds unreal, never heard of this law anywhere. Anyway, drugs will not get in your system by being in a room with someone smoking them. No, you won't be drug tested in Ohio as a result of your speeding ticket. Since you were almost double the speed limit, did it get written up only as speeding or as reckless operations or aggressive speed? Hopefully for your sake with you being a new driver, this is staying within your municipal court. So only a big fine a bigger lecture. Be careful about getting any other tickets or your license could be revoked until you're 18. |

No, they don't. You either go to court and stand before the judge where he or she will tell you how much your fine is, but your parents would have to be with you because you are under 18... you just send in your fine, or you will have to take driving courses and pay for that. |
